JOIN US FOR A VERY SPECIAL EXPLORATION OF NORTH CAROLINA’S FURNITURE, FOOD & DESIGN ROOTS
This creative forum will feature the area’s enduring legacy as a center for textiles, furniture-making and manufacturing as well explore its renaissance and new-found appreciation for a farm-to-table focus on organic dining and wining. Designed to inspire, educate and entertain, the event will deliver five custom-designed, accredited educational experiences as well as excursions to savor the best food and culture North Carolina has to offer.
Designers love to congregate and discover, learn from one another and with each other, and drink wine. With this in mind we bring you the first Designer Experience – a two-and-a-half day symposium in and around Greensboro and High Point, N.C., exclusively for the design trade – the brainchild of Jane Dagmi (Editor-in-Chief of Designers Today), Susan Dickenson (Editor-in-Chief of Home Accents Today) and Waynette Goodson (Editor-in-Chief of Exterior Design).
Designed to foster a creative and collaborative environment, the Designer Experience is where an intimate group of interior designers can learn, network and explore a familiar part of the world in a fresh, adventurous way. With our base at the Proximity Hotel, the event includes excursions to furniture factories, warehouses, and special North Carolina places, plenty of CEU credits, plus morning yoga and exceptional wining and dining. While our days are full, the pace is not frenetic like what you experience at Market. And to top it off, each editor will be documenting the Designer Experience for their respective publications.
